Step 1: Start with an Existing Page or Create a New One

You can begin by either duplicating an existing page or creating a new one that serves as a foundation for your content. If you’ve already created a page layout, duplicating it allows you to maintain design consistency and save time on formatting. To duplicate a page, navigate to your Pages panel, select the desired page, and click the duplicate option. The duplicated page will remain in draft mode until you're ready to publish it.

Quick Tip: Utilizing AI for Initial SEO Setup

For this guide, I’m using AI to quickly and efficiently generate keywords and other SEO elements for the page. While AI can expedite the process, it's essential to follow a strategic approach when gathering your keywords and optimizing your content. By combining AI's capabilities with thoughtful planning, you can ensure that your SEO efforts are effective and aligned with your overall marketing goals.

Step 2: Set Up Your SEO Settings

Once you have your new or duplicated draft page, it’s time to focus on optimizing its SEO. In the Left Sidebar, open up the Page panel, there you'll find the Pagecloud SEO settings for the page.

Selecting an Open Graph Image for Social Media

A compelling image is vital for social media sharing. Choose an image that is visually appealing and relevant to your content, as it will appear when users share your page on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. To add the Open Graph image, upload a relevant image from your computer. Choose one that reflects your brand and grabs attention.

Add Open Graph (OG) Tags

Open Graph tags help control how your content appears on social media platforms. You should include the following OG tags:

OG Title: The title of your page.

OG Description: A brief description of your page content.

Twitter Title: The headline of your page.

Twitter Description: A concise summary of your page’s content.

Twitter Card: Use the page description for the card summary.

These tags ensure your content displays attractively and accurately when shared.

Step 3: Craft an SEO-Friendly Title and Description

Creating optimized page titles and descriptions is essential for improving your page's visibility in search results. Your title should be concise, include relevant keywords, and clearly describe the page content. The description provides additional context, enticing users to click through to your page. Aim to keep the title under 60 characters and the description under 160 characters to ensure they display properly in search engines.

Use tools like ChatGPT to brainstorm keyword-rich titles and descriptions, but be sure to review and refine them to align with your overall SEO strategy.

Step 4: Add Relevant Keywords

Incorporating relevant keywords is crucial for search engines to understand and rank your page. Identify primary and secondary keywords that align with your content and target audience. Place these keywords strategically in your title, description, headings, and throughout the body of your page—without overstuffing.

Tools like ChatGPT can help generate keyword ideas quickly, but it’s important to evaluate them for relevance. Focus on terms your audience is likely to search for, and prioritize quality over quantity to ensure your SEO efforts are both effective and natural.

Step 5: Leverage Pagecloud's Design Sidekick Tool

Before you publish, take advantage of Pagecloud's Design Sidekick tool to verify your SEO setup. This tool will help you check important elements such as keyword integration, OG tags, and social media images. It serves as a final check to ensure everything is optimized correctly.

Step 5: Review and Publish

After optimizing your page, review all elements one last time. Ensure that your content is engaging, the layout is user-friendly, and all SEO settings are properly configured. Once you’re satisfied, publish your page and monitor its performance to see how well it attracts traffic and engagement.

Conclusion

Optimizing a new page for SEO in Pagecloud is an essential part of maximizing your online presence. By following these steps you can enhance your page's visibility and ensure that it reaches the right audience. Start implementing these strategies today to make the most of your new page!
